New Functionality

+ You can now add cook times to recipes. In the future I will probably add an advanced search page. If and when I do that you will be able to search by cook time.
+ The website themes now change automatically based on the date. You can override this behavior from the "Edit Account Information" page. At this point there are only a few themes to choose from.
+ It is now a little less confusing to reset your password.
+ There is a new section on the home page that shows recipes that are "trending." These are the recipes that have been visited most during the last month.
+ Each user now has a mini-profile page. The mini-profile page shows the join date and all of the recipes that a user has contributed. You can also view your own mini-profile by clicking on the "My Recipes" link near the favorite recipes link.

I'm probably going to add the following features to this site:
+ The ability to add general notes to a recipe.
+ The ability to add cook times to a recipe.
+ The ability to choose a random website theme.
+ Disco mode theme
+ Additional holiday themes
+ Increase the window which holiday themes are shown. (I doubt anybody has seen any of the three that are scheduled right now.)
+ Change the reset password procedure (Add the ability to use email and/or display name. Clarify page.)
+ Reorder news listings on the backend.
+ Popular (trending) recipes
+ Browse by user or mini-profiles
+ Rating system?

Notification System

Registered users now have the option to recieve different types of notifications. You can opt into receiving notifications by configuring notifications from the "Edit Account Information" link on the left navigation panel.

New Website Features

There is now a "Recently Added or Updated Recipes:" panel on the front page to see which recipes have been added or modified recently.
There is also a printer friendly version of the recipe linked to the right of the title of the recipe.
Yay.

As you can see, you have reached the new recipe website rather than the old site. The data from the old site has been ported over.

Current Website Status

As you may have noticed none of the data from the old recipe website is here at the new site. This is due to mainly laziness on my part. It is also due to the fact that some of it isn't going to port over nicely and I'll have to do some finangling to get it to work.
I'm fairly certain that bringing the data over from the old site will wait until I get done implementing "key" features here on the new site. Because I have added a commenting system to the recipes I'm tempted to add an email notification/subscription system as well. For example, for any recipe that you have favorited or commented on, updates to that recipe via comment or recipe editing will cause an email notification to be sent out. That would be something fun but definitely not necessary.
I'd also like to add a rating system and the ability to search recipes based on rating.
All fun, right?

Registered users can now comment on recipes. I'm not sure this is a good idea but Wendy requested this feature so she got it. "So let it be written. So let it be done."
