Teaspoons
Directions
1)
Combine water, soda, nuts, dates. Cook stirring constantly for 4 min. Cool slightly.
2)
Cream shortening (butter) and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat.
3)
Combine flour and date mixture. Mix well.
4)
Bake 375 degrees for 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 hour.
