1) In sauce pan blend sugar, corn starch and salt.
2) Add milk
3) Cook over medium heat until thickened for two minutes after thickening begins.
4) Slowly stir 1/4 cup of hot mixture into the beaten eggs. Return eggs to mixture and cook for additional two minutes.
5) Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
6) This can also be used as banana pudding or pie filling.
