1) In a blender combine above ingredients and blend until creamy smooth.
2) Spoon into bowl and garnish with some extra garbanzo beans, diced tomatoes, chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, toasted pine nuts, or seasoned ground beef - be creative. For hot and heat loving people, sprinkle with cayenne pepper.
3) Lastly drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
4) Serve with crunchy pita chips or raw vegetables.
5) Optional: Add cilantro, avocado, etc.
6) For BABAGANOUSH, substitute roasted eggplant for the garbanzo beans. Don't use blender, instead smash together and leave some chunks. You can roast your own eggplant, or buy 1/2 jar Sera (brand of roasted eggplant in a jar, purchased at the Mediterranean store).
