1) Boil unopened can of sweetened condensed milk in large pot of boiling water for three hours. Remove can and let cool.
2) Make sure can is covered with water for the entire 3 hours.
3) Open can and mix with vanilla. Serve.
4) Can of boiled milk can a kept on shelf for awhile before using.
