1) Preheat oven to 350*
2) In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3) Mix in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture.
4) Blend thoroughly. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Mix well.
5) Drop tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
6) Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for one minute. Remove cookies from cookie sheet and place on cooling rack.
