Ingredient Qty. Unit
melted butter 2 Tablespoons
whole milk 1 1/2 Cups
large eggs 2 Each
sugar 2 Tablespoons
vanilla 2 Teaspoons
cinnamon 3/4 Teaspoons
nutmeg 1/8 Teaspoons
salt 1/4 Teaspoons
flour 1/2 Cups
loaf of Texas toast bread 1 Each
Directions
  1) Dry the bread out by placing bread on a cooling rack on a baking sheet (so both sides get dry) and put it in the oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes or so. If you put it on the sheet directly it still works, but you have to flip the bread over so both sides get dry.
  2) Whisk all dry ingredients together separately, and then slowly add all the wet ingredients to prevent lumps.
  3) Dip bread in mix, then place on hot skillet and cook till done.
